FAQ

Q. How long do i need to grow out my hair before i am waxed?

A. We are looking for a 1/4 inch of hair (size of a rice granule) to be able to remove the hair successfully from the follicle using hard wax hair removal methods.

Q. Should I trim my hair prior to visiting for a brazilian wax service?

A. Unless your hair is extremely grown out, and you are concerned of hair pulling during your wax service- trimming is not necessary. This is truly the preference of the client.

Q. I started my period, do i need to reschedule my appointment for a brazilian wax?

A. Brazilian waxing services may be performed with the proper hygiene prior to your visit and as long as you’ve used the appropriate female products (such as a tampon) during the service. It is up to the client’s discretion if they would prefer to reschedule. Waxing during a menstrual cycle or in the days leading up to or just following tend to be more sensitive to the client.

Q. is there anything i need to avoid on waxing day?

A. Following a wax hair removal in any area of the body, it is encouraged to refrain from wearing tight clothes, going into a pool or sauna, steam room, working out etc. Following a wax service, the pores of your skin tend to be more sensitive, open and a potential breeding ground for bacteria to enter those pores if the above mentioned activities take place. Please ensure that you also refrain from added chemicals of any type to the affected areas for up to 48 hours.

Q. why am i getting ingrown hairs?

A. Ingrown hairs happen for multiple reasons. Essentially the hair, as it regrows is growing into the skin rather than out of the pore- and this can happen if the area has not been properly exfoliated, moisturized, and cared for. To prevent ingrown hairs, Fuzzy Peach waxing specialists recommend that prior to your waxing appointment, you exfoliate with a scrub or a scrubber brush 24+ hours in advance.

3-5 days post wax it is a good idea to start a regular exfoliating routine 1-2x per week in the shower. Please note- there is such thing as OVER exfoliating the skin- and you will not want to over do it! Following the exfoliation process, we recommend fur oil to moisturize and nourish the skin.

Q. what if i tweeze between waxing appointments?

A. The reality is- if you tweeze, even as clean up- you’ll notice that the hair growth is not on the same cycle. Depending on whether or not you have thick or fine hair, it can be more noticeable with some over others- but the truth is- the result just is not as clean and smooth. Everyone loves the clean rich lines of a fresh wax.
